"All of our institutions, regardless of their accreditation status, utilize the NCATE standards as part of the basis for state approval of their programs. The NCATE partnership has been vital to Nebraska." Doug Christensen, Commissioner of Education, Nebraska
This section is designed for institutions with continuing accreditation visits. Institutions should read these materials carefully and submit a date for the visit to schedule the next on-site visit, after the state has approved the date.
Under NCATEs performance-based accreditation system, the unit must meet each of the six standards in order to be accredited. Units that do not meet all standards are granted accreditation with conditions or probation (see Accreditation
Decisions). To assist the UAB in making these decisions, the BOE will now make recommendations as to whether the standards have been met. If accreditation is continued, the next on-site visit is scheduled five or seven years after the semester of the visit, depending on the agreement with the state in which the institution is located. This section includes the following information to assist institutions in preparing for continuing accreditation visits.
