Increasingly, technology is poised to revolutionize teaching,
learning, and assessment. In keeping with new demands for teachers skilled
in integrating technology into instruction, NCATE adopted newly refined
standards in 1995 that place added emphasis on several new areas, including
technology. And now NCATE is taking part in several initiatives that are
designed to spread technology knowledge to university faculty, teacher
candidates, and teachers already in the classroom.
