Role of Program Reviewers
Program reviewers evaluate a web-based report submitted by a teacher preparation program to determine if the program meets the standards of the appropriate Specialized Professional Association (SPA).
Relationships of Program Review to Unit Review
The program review process is a critical component of the NCATE unit review for accreditation. The evaluation of the program provided by the program reviewers is used by the Board of Examiners as they evaluate a unit against NCATE Unit standards #1 and #2. The program review, completed on-line, is finished prior to the on-site unit review.
